Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme or కళ్యాణ లక్ష్మిపధకం and Shaadi Mubarak is a welfare scheme for providing financial assistance for marriages by the Government of Telangana, a novel scheme for all poor people in the state. The scheme gives an assistance of ₹1,00,116, and is aimed at preventing child marriages and support marriage expense for financially distressed families. By March 2018, the beneficiaries stood at 3,50,000.

Components Of The Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam

There are two components of the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme as announced by the Chief Minister of Telangana state. The two components are given below:-

• Kalyana Laxmi is for the Hindu minorities of below poverty line
• Shaadi Mubarak is for the Muslim community brides.

Step to Apply Online Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme Application Form 2021

Step 1- Visit the Official Website Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme i.e. https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/ or go to the direct link i.e. https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/ShaadiMubharak.do.

Step 2- On Homepage, Click on the option of Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak.

Step 3- Application Form page will displayed on screen.

Step 4- Fill in the application form.

• The following details will have to be entered on the application form-
  • Bride’s bank account details (mandatory for orphans only)
  • Bank account details of the bride’s mother

Step 5- Upload the above-mentioned documents, Enter the captcha code and Click on Submit Button.

Step 2- On Homepage, click “Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak”

Step 3- Then click “print/ status” option and a new page open on the screen.

Step 4- Enter the bride’s UID |(Aadhar) No. and phone number.

Step 5- Click “get status and print” option.

Step 2- From home page of the website click “Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak”

Beneficiary Guidelines

1. The applying girl should belong to any of the mentioned minority communities or should fall under the below poverty line.
2. The applicant should be a resident of Telangana State.
3. The unmarried girl must have completed 18 years of age at the time of marriage.
4. The compound income of the girl’s parents should not cross Rs.2,00,000 per annum.

Eligibility Criteria Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam:
1) SC Income Limit : Rs.2,00,000/-
2) ST Income Limit : Rs.2,00,000/-
3) BC/EBC Income Limit : Urban – Rs.2,00,000/- , Rural – Rs.1,50,000/-

Under the Kalyan Laxmi Yojana, both components have provided several incentives by 2020-

• Kalyan Laxmi Yojana was originally launched under 2014. And the government provided assistance of Rs.51,000 at that time.
• Again under this scheme, in the year 2017, financial assistance of Rs 75,116 was provided by the government.
• Then, in the year 2018, financial assistance of Rs 1,00,116 was provided.

Key Features of Scheme

Scheme Feature

1. The Government of Telangana launched the scheme on October 2, 2014 for the SC/St, minorities (BC-A, BC-B, BC-c), and the Economically Backward Class of the state.
2. Initially, the Government launched the scheme providing a financial aid of Rs.51,000.
3. Later the assistance was raised to Rs.75,116 in 2017.
4. Recently in March 2018, the assistance has been enhanced to Rs.1,00,116.
5. The budget allocated for the fiscal year accounts to Rs.1450 Crores and the scheme has reached around 3,60,000 beneficiaries till March, 2018.
